nanoRings

Rings is another module that I never really considered, but I was offered a PCB in a trade and thought I’d give it a go. It’s a resonator which works similarly to the one in Elements/ATOM, but a bit different and with some cool features.

The guy I traded with didn’t have a panel, but offered to laser cut one for me at his local hackspace in Prague.

I filled the engraved lettering with acrylic paint. I could probably have done a neater job, but I can read the panel so it’s all good.

The board is pretty densely packed, but it’s very similar to the other Mutable stuff so it was easy enough. Built in one sitting and flashed the firmware first try.

As with pretty much all the Mutable clones I’ve built, I turned it on and was immediately blown away by the sound! I’m definitely going to have fun with this…
