Mission Accomplished!

After 15 months of pretty relentless soldering, I’ve “finished” my techno system. I know, I know, I’ve said that before, but it’s actually in a state now where I’m totally happy with it. I have everything I need to do what I want to do with it.

It’s a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be, of course. Originally I thought 2 rows of 84hp would be plenty. Then I thought 4 rows of 104hp would be more than enough. What I’ve ended up with is both.

Both cases work as independent systems, the performance case being more, well, performance oriented and the rack being a bit more experimental/noisy. They also link up via a single shielded Cat6 network cable using the Rack Plumber system so they work well as one larger system. Lots of options. Lots of techno.

I’m not hanging up my soldering iron just yet though, I’m designing another system from scratch that I’m going to build next…
