Robaux SWT16+

I love my SWT16, but I need more of it. So when I saw that Robaux was releasing a bigger version, and that there would be a DIY option, I was super excited. I was also impatient, so I got in touch with Robert and, although he wasn’t ready to release the DIY version yet, sent me a PCB/panel and a programmed chip.

It was a really easy build. The PCB layout makes it a breeze.

I put the whole thing together in a couple of hours. I did have to kludge a 28 pin IC socket as I only had wide ones, so snipped and glued one of those.

I’ve used all yellow LEDs (shocker) rather than the 3 colours on the official version, but used different resistor values to give different brightnesses instead. I dyed the buttons on my SWT16 – I might stick the dyed 4×4 grid in this one and the one from here in the SWT16, which I might sell now.
