System X VCO #2
Grabbed another PCB/panel for the System X VCO from Frequency Central, this time a newer revision with the chip heater integrated into the main PCB (the first one I built had the heater on a separate daughter board). Aside from the slightly different PCB, it’s exactly the same as the other one. I did a … Read moreSystem X VCO #2
ET IT Mult
Built a very simple passive multiple, for duplicating signals. Literally just soldering jacks to a board.
PMF ADSR
Up until now, I’ve been using Maths as an envelope generator, but it’s time for a dedicated ADSR module, so I grabbed the PCB for this simple envelope generator off Tindie. It was a nice quick, easy build with a simple calibration process. So, now I can generate proper ADSR envelopes!
System X VCO #1
Starting out on my second row and wondering what to build next, I looked at my existing analogue synth, the SE-02, and decided that I liked the options that 3 oscillators gave me. I looked around on the internet and discovered Frequency Central, a UK (Coventry) based manufacturer who also offered bare PCBs and panels. … Read moreSystem X VCO #1
First Row Complete
First major milestone! A whole 84hp row of lovely Eurorack. I’m well and truly hooked into this now!
Fuzz Transistor Distortion
I’ve been reading and researching a lot on modular DIY and was feeling ready to try building something completely from scratch. I found a schematic for a basic transistor fuzz distortion module that Vult (VCV module designer) had posted online: Vult Blur schematics I also found this technique from Fishboy Tech to wire up the power header. … Read moreFuzz Transistor Distortion
