alfa4 Quad LFO

The last of the modules for the 1U row in alfa4 is a quad LFO. They’re just very simple triangle/square LFOs based on a Thomas Henry circuit design. I used a couple of the same boards previously (acquired from John Miscreant via MW) for the dual LFO in my main system and I like them, so I hit John up for a few more and he sold me 6 boards for 7 quid.

When I started the alfa4 project, the intention was always for my son Fin to help as he’d asked about doing some soldering and helping make some stuff. I’ve made a bit of a head start while he’s been learning to solder with some Rakit kits, but he’s up to speed now, so this was his first module.

He built up all 4 circuits and to be honest, his soldering now is far better than my own first attempts.

I cut and labelled the panel as he’s not so confident with the drill (yet!).

Then Fin mounted the jacks and pots and finished off the soldering. Worked perfectly first time!
