I realised that I’d need some way to get the audio out of the rack and into my mixer/audio interface/computer/etc. Having learned that modular levels are much higher than standard line level audio, I decided I should build a dedicated output stage.
Still not feeling 100% confident with sourcing my own components, I went for another kit, the Befaco Output (version II).
This was a nice easy kit to put together and I soon had the output module ready and in the rack.
I realised I needed to do something about the the power supply in the G6 case, which was not working, so although I now had an oscillator, VCA, envelope generator and output stage, I still couldn’t use anything! Very frustrating. I sent the power supply to EMIS (our local Doepfer dealer) for repair.
